Las Vegas has quickly become the entertainment capital of the world. It's always been at the top of the list, but lately it has been a cut above the rest. Look at the acts coming through Sin City: Celine Dion held a long reign at Caesar's Palace but now there's Bette Midler and I even hear that Cher will be coming out of retirement. But there's more to Vegas than just great shows. Vegas has always been a gambling city, and I love going there on weekends to play Poker. Texas Hold 'Em and Omaha High are a few of my favorite games. But even when I can't get away to Vegas to play in the casinos, I can still play Online Poker from home. Playing Poker on the Internet is easy and secure. The computer takes out a lot of the guess work when it comes to chip count and state of the art technology means greater security on the server when I enter my credit card information. But most of all, playing Poker Online is convenient and fun. With the world becoming one big Wi-Fi connection, I can log onto my favorite virtual casino and play Poker from just about anywhere. Waiting for a connecting flight at the airport has never been more fun. So if you can't make it to Las Vegas to try your luck, ante up online. You won't be disappointed.

Are you considering giving on-line gaming, poker to be exact, a, try? In this author’s opinion the pros far outweigh the cons; here are several of many reasons why you may tend to agree.
There are numerous reasons to play poker, specifically Texas Holdem, on-line. Having played both the old fashioned way (brick and mortar) and the more high tech option I find that for the first time in all my 45 years actually embracing technology.
If one plays any form of poker for camaraderie, fun or just plain human contact then perhaps virtual play is not the best option. If sheer competition, playing a lot of hands, testing your skill level and hopefully earning a little coin is the goal then on-line play should be considered second to none.
Probably the most obvious reason to give online poker a try, and by try I mean at least 30 days of serious play at whatever level you feel most comfortable; not one minimum deposit session where you make a bad call lose your roll, stomp your little feet never to return, would be the convenience.
All that’s required is a relatively current computer and an internet connection (please don’t play with dial-up).
If you’d rather not clean up you can play, if you scare people in public you can play, if you are agoraphobic you can still play.
In short you can always find a game on-line, 24 hours a day seven days a week. Nothing beats the feeling of cleaning fish at three o’clock in the morning staring at your screen in your underwear.
Always remember to keep plenty of snacks and your energy drink of choice close at hand if you plan on a long session.
Many players are under the impression that it is a major disadvantage not being able to see your opponent.
I wholeheartedly disagree and let me tell you why. Not only is not having to see your opponent a plus, not having to listen to them is at least as much of an advantage. Wah, no more tells. If that’s the case then I’ll gladly call you a waaahmbulance.
If you have been playing Texas Holdem for any length of time you should realize that tells are not as important as once thought.
Individuals, myself included, play poker in patterns, even the top professionals, but that’s another article for another time.
One last thought on anonymity, on-line no one can see you sweat. If you don’t handle your bad beats well or just overreact when you get outdrawn on the river then consider the internet a godsend.
Playing Texas Holdem, or any other form of poker for that matter on line can be a real time saver. If there is only time for a couple of hands, there is no car to drive, no plane to catch, even the walk to the poker room, sometimes in inclement weather, becomes a thing of the past.
There are so many options and places to play on-line that you never have to wait to play, unless of course you come across a live game where the fish outnumber the sharks and it thus becomes profitable to get on the list. Even if you do put yourself on a waiting list there is always another game to play in the interim.
Nothing makes dinner at the computer taste quite so good as cracking someone’s pocket aces or the often held onto big slick with the mere click of a mouse.
In Las Vegas or any other poker Mecca around the globe if you don’t care for the game or even the card room you’re in then it’s “these feet were made for walking”. On-line a new game is only a click away.
Texas Holdem not working at the moment? Just click and you are now seated at a virtual 7 card stud table or Omaha, even Pineapple (whatever that is) or any number of poker games situated all over the web. (Need to find a site? Try http://www.ltdpoker.com ).
Many sites offer blackjack and other popular casino games when you’re ready for a change of pace or are perhaps looking for a way to kill time while waiting to win your seat at the next World Series of Poker main event.
Finding the stakes you want when you want them is another consideration as to the superiority of on-line play.
Let’s get personal.
If your game of chance is something other than $1/$2 no limit Texas Holdem or $2/$4 limit Texas Holdem please don’t hold your breath in downtown Las Vegas.
Omaha, what’s Omaha? Forget playing Omaha hi/lo split with pot limit on the river or any other pot limit game for that matter and don’t ask for a kill game either unless you like being disappointed. Sphere: Related Content

888.com is one of the top websites on the internet for people to gamble online on and has been for years now. It's such a big company that it's on the London Stock Exchange Market and has a great stock. 888.com offers more then just an online casino though they also have an awesome poker and bingo section which are both great. The reason I wanted to talk about 888.com today though is because of the new sportsbook they run.

Betting on sports is a hobby of many and it is one of mine also and 888sport.com is a great place for doing that and they have a pretty spectacular site set-up. Once your registered you're able to watch football matches among other while betting on football matches and all the other sports available. Watching the game live can be a lot more thrilling then just placing bets and at least for me that's how it works.
Online poker is huge worldwide now and people are winning money everyday. Sports betting is the one thing that can only be decided by the way you bet and with the proper research completed you could really earn nice amounts of money betting on the sports. Poker is another game I absolutely love and the 888 network also hosts poker tournaments and table games 24/7 365 days a week which is another reason why I use 888.com over any other website. Having the convenience of having all the online gambling games I like in one place is the one reason why I choose 888.com over anyone else.
Have you ever heard of earning money by playing online poker? Well, you can earn too. Of course you would have to be a good poker player knowing online poker rules, different types of poker strategy and be patient to learn more and more. Because there is plenty of poker players already and you will always find one better than yourself.
Anyway for playing online poker you do not need huge money at the beginning as many of the poker rooms offer Poker Signup Bonuses. Your smart move would be to find the right poker affiliate or poker portal to double your money. The best poker portals have usually better promotions and deals for their poker players than normally you could get joining the poker room found in google search results.
Remember to treat online poker as a good entertainment, a hobby which can turn over into earning money in a future, but at the beginning be just patient and learn playing online poker on every possible way. There are poker freerrolls specially for beginners, poker signup bonuses, no deposit bonuses, poker vouchers, online poker schools, online poker guidelines - the best thing to do is just to find this kind of poker portal, where you could find all that information and where you could attach yourself for a longer period of time. You would be able to get equally bonuses from the poker rooms you play in as well as extra bonuses from the poker portal you are the member of.
There is one of the best poker portals available online to all new players interested in playing online poker. A strong side of this portal is that it cooperates with the players for a long term, not just giving the poker signup bonuses, but sponsoring the players giving to the best Players bankroll worth 1500$. Just in February 2008 Poker Players obtained £12,000 in sponsorships, so there is plenty of poker players earning money by playing online poker already.

Did you know that there is a chance to turn your hobby into an extra income? I have never thought of that. I wouldn't even imagine that online poker could be one of my interests, until it became one. I would like to share a short story about playing online poker as it happens to be my main source of income.
I was doing my job as usual chatting online with poker players about the best online poker rooms available. I had to know the subject, so I have started reading online poker reviews. Poker Room by Poker Room I have tested all of the top rated online poker sites and somehow I got crazy about playing online poker.
As a new Poker Player I became LTDPoker.com member as many of LTDPoker other players I was chatting with every day. The only thing I had to do was signup my personal details, setting up money account with Neteller and choosing the poker site just right for me. Shortly I was ready to start playing. Because LTDPoker.com has a great promotions at RedKings I started there with Wednesday's Freerolls and Sunday's Tournaments of LTDPoker League. Shortly I discovered what all the fuss is about and how much exciting online poker can be, even if you're just a fish.
Following all the latest poker news I became a member of a wide poker community. I've met a few fantastic people I can cooperate with as an online poker affiliate. All my colleagues are amazed that a girl can play online poker and can be so much keen on it. Anyway it is always good to start with good online poker portals, like LTDPoker.com as it gives all new players a few possibilities to get the money to play online poker. One of the poker promotions LTDPoker.com has is No Deposit Bonus for all new players who - from some reasons - do not wish to deposit their own money just yet. Second poker offer is a refund of the deposit made treated as an additional money for playing online poker. Weekly LTDPoints Challenge and monthly leaderboards are available to more advanced players as well as Monthly VIP Sponsorship. To the players who had no good fortune at the beginning there is a special affiliate program, which allows every registered player to get from 15$ by referring good poker players.
Plenty of opportunities are waiting for online poker fans nearly on every corner. It is just up to them if they know how to use it on their benefit. Sphere: Related Content
Online Poker is a way of living
Some of the people think that any kind of poker is some game that nasty men play in the back rooms of dodgy bars. They wouldn’t even think of playing the game, never mind thinking that they might be very passionate about poker. Most of the men can think that poker is just a game played by guys with nothing better to do.
I have a totally different point on view on these things since I have started playing poker online. I am a 31 year old, very responsible highly educated young woman, and I’ve been playing online poker for a few months now; and I am surprised how online poker can be an important part of life, like socializing, making contacts, learning…
I used to play poker with friends, but it’s when I learned that I could play poker online whenever I wanted that was when I truly fell in love with it. Before I learned about playing poker on the internet I had to wait until I got the chance to play with some of my colleagues at work, which was every Wednesday. Now that I have learned about poker online I can play a game of poker whenever I want: poker on demand - it’s like a dream coming true!
Now I can play online poker whenever I want; which is usually in every small break at work or evenings at home getting a good rest. When I first heard about playing poker online I wasn’t sure where to start; where to play, and where to stay away from. I found a poker room that I started playing in, but it wasn’t the greatest - I wasn’t enjoying the feel of it. I needed to find out about some better places to play, but I didn’t know where to look to find out the information I needed. Then a friend told me about LTDPoker. LTDPoker Online UK is more than just a poker review site. It rates poker rooms and gives a description of each site, and the reasons why the poker sites have been given the rating they have. After I found LTDPoker Online UK I was sorted: Finally I knew where to play and where to stay away from.
Since then I had a chance to learn a lot about online poker: about where I should play, and the difference between online poker and offline version of the amazing game. I’ve learned the particulars off online poker, and how to see tells in players you can’t see. I’ve also learned the best online poker places to explore online.
I’ve learned a lot about online poker, and where to find out the best information about the game. I keep visiting the online poker portal every day as I check all the latest information, like Poker News I would be keen on. LTDPoker has another feature very much helpful to all poker players, which is a poker player’s profile, where everyone can cumulate the points for further poker sponsorship - one of the poker promotions.
